A Serene Oasis in Hillview: Imagining the Possibilities with $5 Million
CDL Acquisition
CDL Aries, an affiliate of the largest non-government-controlled developer in Singapore, has recently acquired two adjoining plots at 798 and 800 Upper Bukit Timah Road, in northwest Singapore’s Tan Chong industrial park, for S$126.3 million ($92.5 million). Located just seven minutes’ walk from the Cashew MRT station on Singapore’s Downtown Line, the 16,620 square metre (178,900 square foot) property is zoned for residential use with a plot ratio of 2.1, allowing the developer to construct a project up to 24 storeys in height.
This purchase presents a unique opportunity to create a serene oasis in the bustling Hillview area. The plot is just next to the 19-floor Hazel Park condominium building and within a 13 minute walk of the old Bukit Timah railway station, offering easy access to transport networks. Close by are also schools, commercial spaces and parks, including the Railway Corridor development which is transforming old railway tracks into a community space, and the Beauty World rejuvenation plan which is setting up a green urban village.
With S$5 million set aside for the project, the possibilities are endless. A potential development could include a mix of luxurious condominiums, apartments, and retail outlets for residents to enjoy. The project could also provide recreational facilities such as swimming pools and fitness centres, as well as a selection of restaurants and cafes to add to the neighbourhood’s vibrancy. Moreover, landscaped gardens could be included to offer an oasis of tranquility amid the hustle and bustle of modern life.
This new project could potentially become a notable landmark in the Hillview area, transforming it into a sought-after residential destination. With the addition of this development, the neighbourhood would be further enriched with a variety of retail and leisure options, as well as a unique residential experience. In this way, the S$5 million investment could indeed be put to good use in creating a new oasis in Hillview.
