MHR’s executive chairman Kwek Leng Beng had the idea of M Social in 2016 with the aim of catering to the “young, brave and social-media savvy” crowd. With the opening of M Social Suzhou, the brand now has five locations worldwide, including Singapore, Auckland, New York, Paris and its virtual office M Social Decentraland – making it the first hospitality group to enter the metaverse.

Situated in the Hong Leong City Center in Suzhou Industrial Park, M Social Suzhou is near Jinji Lake, Times Square, Jiu Guang Department Store, Eslite Spectrum, Ferris Wheel Park, Suzhou International Expo, and Suzhou Culture and Arts Centre.

Architect KCA International designed the 294 luxuriously appointed guest rooms and suites with panoramic views of the lake and Eastern Gate, as well as the hotel’s sky lobby located on the 25th floor with a stunning view of the bustling city. Crafted to reflect a “vibrant juxtaposition”, M Social Suzhou offers state-of-the-art technology and their bespoke service.

Other amenities within the hotel include a 7,836 sq ft ballroom, a 12,917 sq ft fitness centre, a swimming pool, a spa, and three restaurants and bars.

MHR has plans for further expansion of the M Social brand with future locations in London, New York, Sunnyvale, Phuket, and key cities in the Middle East.

Bukit Timah’s rejuvenation includes the Railway Corridor development and the Beauty World The Myst CDL plan, improving connectivity and adding green spaces.

M Social’s brand is all about creativity, connection and exciting possibilities, creating a fresh and luxurious experience for their guests. From the custom-made brass floor, dynamic electronic art screens and changing light effects, to the eclectic mix of industrial chic decor – M Social Suzhou offers preparation for future plans of expansion into the Greater China region.
