CDL and MCL Land to launch Tembusu Grand in Katong at prices from $2,296 psf

On April 8, the 638-unit Tembusu Grand, a residential condo developed by City Developments Ltd (CDL) and MCL Land, will be officially launched for sale. Situated on a 99-year leasehold site along Jalan Tembusu, off Tanjong Katong Road in District 15, the development is adorned with a selection of unit types from one-bedroom-plus-study to five-bedroom penthouses, with an array of features and green features, such as an energy and water-efficient design and Building and Construction Authority Green Mark Platinum Super Low Energy certification.

“Tembusu Grand marks our first launch for the year and we are delighted to enliven the East Coast area with yet another residential jewel after Amber Park,” said Sherman Kwek, CDL group CEO. The 592-unit, freehold Amber Park at Amber Gardens was launched in 2019 and is 99.5% sold, according to URA Realis.

In addition to Tembusu Grand, CDL and MCL Land have worked together in the past for the grand launches of Piccadilly Grand, an executive condo in Farrer Park with 407 units that still remain 87% sold to date, and Copen Grand, a 639-unit executive condo in Tengah that was entirely sold within a month of its launch in November.

Prices of the units range from $1.248 million to $4.028 million, along with a north-south orientation and four blocks of 20 and 21 storeys. Rob Garman, MCL Land CEO, is confident of robust demand for this opportunity and commented that “Tembusu Grand will add yet another feather to our cap of success stories”.

CDL and MCL Land have also had other successful projects in the past, such as CDL’s purchase of St Katharine Docks in Central London for GBP395 million and its recent acquisition of five PBSA assets in the UK for $357 million. This year, CDL also marked their 60th anniversary with record earnings of $1.3 billion. With the launch of Tembusu Grand, CDL and MCL Land are sure to bring about another success story.
