Hyatt Hotels to launch ‘Caption’ brand hotel in Australia
Hyatt Hotels has signed a management agreement with LFG Property to launch its Caption by Hyatt brand into Australia. The new hotel will be completed in 2025 and located in Haymarket, south of Sydney’s CBD. Featuring 174-keys and an urban industrial style, the hotel will incorporate contemporary design, hand-drawn graphic art, as well as modern technologies such as digital check-in, digital keys and mobile-order food service.
Hyatt Hotels has recently signed a management agreement with LFG Property to bring its Caption by Hyatt brand to Australia for the first time. Located in Haymarket, south of Sydney’s CBD in the heart of a vibrant hub of attractions, the 174-key hotel is expected to be completed in 2025.
The hotel will feature an urban industrial design, layering colours, textures and hand-drawn graphic art that will decorate social and dining spaces. Caption by Hyatt is an ‘upscale, lifestyle forward hotel with the flexibility and self-guided options of a select-service property’, set to incorporate modern technologies such as digital check-in, digital keys and mobile-order food.
David Udell, Group President, Asia Pacific at Hyatt, believes the new hotel “will create an environment where guests and locals alike can feel at home in a space that reflects the character of the community”.
In 2022, the first Caption-branded hotel by Hyatt opened in Memphis, and the brand has planned further openings over the next two years in Australia, China, Japan and Vietnam.

As part of introducing the brand to the country, Hyatt and LFG Property have partnered to manage the hotel. This is another major step forward in Hyatt’s plan to establish the Caption by Hyatt brand globally.
